A ripper is a single heavy tine that cracks compacted gravel, dry clay, roots and limestone caprock so a bucket can lift it. In the Perth Hills and on coastal limestone it is the first attachment most owners buy, and one of the cheapest.
How to choose
- Available for every R-series model and the RS03/RS04 and RS06/RS07 skid steers
- Mechanical; no hydraulics needed
- Rip a grid across the area, then switch to a toothed bucket

Rip in the cool of the morning in summer; even ripped ground is easier before the sun bakes it.
